Fa Computer Point

Fa Computer Point is located on the first floor of Mirza Mansion, which is right across from the Sarojini Devi Eye Hospital bus stop in Mehdipatnam. If you’ve ever waited for a bus there, you’ve probably seen our sign. It’s a busy corner of Hyderabad, and the noise from the street definitely makes its way up to the second floor where we are. We have room 202, and it’s packed with computer parts and old monitors. It’s not the most modern-looking place, but it works for what we do. People bring in their laptops when they stop working, and we spend our time taking them apart and putting them back together. The building itself has been around for a bit, so the stairs are a little narrow and steep. Sometimes it gets crowded in the hallway when there are a lot of people waiting for their repairs. We don't really do big advertising; mostly it’s just people from the neighborhood or students from nearby colleges who know we’re here. We keep the fans running all day because it gets quite warm in the afternoons. It’s just a regular shop where we try to be helpful and get things fixed. There’s always a bit of dust because of the construction nearby, but we try to keep the equipment clean. It’s a decent place to work and we like being in the middle of all the Mehdipatnam action. We just focus on the hardware and the software, day in and day out.
