Evergreen Machinery & Tools Stores

You can find us at 5-1-454 in Ranigunj. It’s an old part of town and our store, Evergreen Machinery & Tools Stores, fits right in with the rest of the shops. We have been here for a long time, and the building definitely shows its age. The shelves are packed tight with all kinds of machinery parts and hand tools. Half the time, we have to use a ladder to reach the stuff tucked away near the ceiling. It’s a bit cramped, especially when we have a few customers in at the same time. Ranigunj is a busy place, so there’s always someone stopping by to see if we have a specific bolt or a particular wrench. We still use an old post box, No. 1628, for some of our mail. It’s not a high-tech operation. We write things down in ledgers and keep track of stock by looking at the bins. The air is usually a bit heavy with the smell of oil and metal. It’s just the way a tool store should be, really. We don’t bother with big signs or flashy lights. People who need tools know where we are. Sometimes the morning rush is a bit much, but we just take it one person at a time. It’s a reliable little spot in a busy neighborhood and we’re quite content with that.
