You can find us at Plot No. 7-656 on Pipe Line Road in Subhash Nagar. We are right near the plastic company in Phase-1 of the Ida area. It is a proper industrial zone, so it’s always noisy and there is a lot of smoke and dust in the air most days. We do a lot of welding and metal fabrication here. The floor is concrete and usually covered in metal shavings that get stuck in your shoes. We have lathes and grinding machines that we use for most of the day. It gets very hot in the summer months, especially with the welding torches going all the time. We wear heavy gloves and masks, but the heat still gets to you after a few hours. We don't have an air-conditioned office; we just have a small desk in the corner where we keep the invoices and the phone. People bring us broken parts from other factories or ask us to build frames from scratch. We spend a lot of time looking at drawings and trying to figure out the best way to cut the steel. It’s a lot of physical labor and your back usually hurts by the time you go home at night. We don't really do any advertising. Most of our work comes from other businesses in the Ida who need something fixed quickly. We just focus on getting the dimensions right and making sure the welds are strong enough to hold up. It’s hard work but it's what we know.
