In Yeshwanthpur, at 761A/22 on the 9th Main, is where our workshop is located. The K.N. Extension is a busy neighborhood with shops and houses all mixed together. Sensors and small electronics are what we work with most of the time. This requires sitting at benches with magnifying glasses and soldering irons for long hours. Morning light is the best for doing this kind of fine work. We aren't a big factory by any stretch. Just a few of us know how to put these things together properly. When components arrive late, it can throw off our entire week. We just do our best to catch up when that happens. Traffic on the 9th Main gets crowded, so we park our scooters around the corner. It's a simple setup we have here. Shelves are filled with little plastic bins for all the different parts. Losing track of things is easy if you aren't careful. There is no receptionist here. If someone knocks, one of us just gets up to see who it is. Having been here for years, we know most of the people on the street. For those who like fixing things and being precise, it's a good place to be. Sometimes a wire breaks or an iron gets too hot, but we just start over. Traffic noise is the only thing that breaks the quiet work we do.
