You can find us in Room No 89 over at the New PG Hostel on the O.U. Campus in Hyderabad. It is a bit of a tight squeeze in here because we have got desks and equipment crammed into a space that was originally meant for sleeping. Being on campus means we are right in the middle of everything, which is convenient but also quite noisy during the day when everyone is heading to their classes. We do a lot of engineering and design work here, mostly for people who need technical drawings or some help with their specific projects. It is not a professional office building with a lobby and elevators. It is a hostel room, so there are always books piled up and probably some laundry hanging somewhere nearby. We spend a lot of late nights working under a small desk lamp because that is when it is finally quiet enough to concentrate on the small details. Most of the people who come to us are other students or folks from the nearby departments. We do not have any fancy brochures to hand out to people. We just show them what we have worked on before on our computer screens or printed out on some messy sheets of paper. It is a bit disorganized at times, but the work gets done eventually. The internet can be spotty in this part of the hostel, so we have learned to be patient.
