Deepak Light House

The Kesari Building in Osmangunj is where you’ll find us. It’s a sturdy old place, though the stairs can be a bit of a climb if you’re carrying heavy boxes. Our shop, Deepak Light House, is packed from floor to ceiling. If you look up, there are wires and fixtures hanging everywhere. It’s bright in here, obviously, because we have to show people what they’re buying. Osmangunj is a busy market, so there’s always noise coming in from the street—trucks unloading, people shouting, and the general hum of the city. We’ve been at 5-3-1024 for years. My father used to run things differently, but the basics are still the same. You need a light, you come here, and we find one that works for you. We don’t have a website or anything like that. If someone wants to see what we have, they just walk in. The ledger is where we keep track of everything. It’s a bit old-fashioned, I suppose. Sometimes the fans don’t quite reach the back of the shop, so it gets a little warm in the afternoons. We drink a lot of water and keep moving. There’s no big secret to how we operate. We just show up, open the shutters, and see who needs help with their electrical stuff. It’s a practical life, and it keeps us busy enough to stay out of trouble and keep the lights on.
