Crossword Book Stores Ltd

Crossword Book Stores Ltd is tucked inside the Shoppers Stop building in Begumpet. We are on the ground floor at Plot number 1-11-251/1. It’s a big space but it feels a bit smaller because of all the tall bookshelves everywhere. Being inside Shoppers Stop means there are always people walking through on their way to buy clothes or shoes. We spend a lot of time putting books back in the right sections because people pick them up and leave them in random places. Begumpet is a very busy part of the city and the road outside is almost always blocked with traffic. Inside, it’s a bit quieter, though you can still hear the music and announcements from the main store. We have rows and rows of different titles and sometimes we get new boxes in that take all day to unpack and sort. The staff here mostly stays busy with the inventory. The carpet has seen better days and there’s a bit of a smell from all the paper, but that’s just how bookshops are. We don't have a lot of window light because of where we are situated in the building. It’s a decent place to spend the day if you don’t mind being surrounded by stacks of paper and the constant flow of shoppers passing by.
