We use a post box for our mail, P.O. Box No. 286 at the G.P.O. in Abids. Abids is such an old and famous part of the city. Everyone knows the GPO area. Cordiale Impex Pvt Ltd is our business name, and we handle a lot of import and export work. It involves a lot of waiting for shipments and dealing with customs agents. We don't have a big flashy office front that you can walk past on the street. Instead, we operate more from behind the scenes. Dealing with international trade means we are often awake at odd hours talking to people in different time zones. It can be exhausting, but it is also interesting to see how goods move around the world. We started out small and we haven't changed that much in terms of how we run things. We keep our overhead low and focus on the actual trades. The paperwork can be a mountain sometimes. We don't use much corporate speak here. We just tell it like it is. If a shipment is late, we say it’s late. There is no point in sugarcoating things in this business. We have been doing this long enough to know that honesty works better than fancy words. It’s a busy life, but it suits us well and we plan to keep at it for a long time. There is always a lot of work to do.
