Civil Engineer

Working as a civil engineer at 1 8 3 3 Ravindra Nagar in Habsiguda, Hyderabad, keeps me pretty busy most weeks. My office is basically just a room filled with rolls of blueprints and a desk that is usually buried under sticky notes and pens. I spend about half my time here in Habsiguda and the other half out at various building sites across the city. Hyderabad is growing fast, so there is always something being dug up or poured somewhere. The heat can be tough when you are standing on a slab of concrete at noon, but that is part of the job. Back at the desk, I do a lot of measuring and double-checking figures to make sure everything is safe. It is mostly just me and a couple of guys who help out with the drafting and site visits. We don't have a receptionist or a fancy waiting area. If you come by, you'll probably see us arguing over a drawing or drinking coffee while looking at a computer screen. The neighborhood is mostly residential, so it stays fairly quiet compared to the main roads. I have been in this spot for a while now, and the neighbors are used to seeing trucks or workers stopping by to pick up plans. It is a simple life, focused on making sure walls are straight and foundations are solid. I don't really have a big corporate story, just a lot of work and a lot of dust.
