Dhanalakshmi Packaging

We are situated at 144/146 in Phase III of the IDA. Being in an industrial area means we are surrounded by other factories and noisy workshops. There is always the sound of heavy machinery and trucks idling nearby on the main road. Our space is mostly taken up by large rolls of material and the machines we use for our packaging work. It is a big, open hall with a tin roof that gets very loud when it rains during the monsoon. We have a small office in the corner that is partitioned off, but the noise still gets in most of the time. We spend our days managing the production line and making sure the boxes or wraps are being made correctly for the clients. It is a dusty environment, and we all wear old clothes because they are going to get dirty anyway from the grease and paper. We do not have any fancy decorations on the walls. It is all about the work here. The lunch break is usually the only time it gets quiet, and we all sit together to eat and talk. We have been in Phase III for a long time, so we know the other business owners on this street quite well. We help each other out if someone needs a specific tool or a bit of extra help moving something heavy into a truck. It is a tough job sometimes, especially in the summer heat, but we just keep at it.
