Cad Designer - Civil/Structural

Ramnagar Gundu is a landmark everyone knows in Vidya Nagar. Our office is at 1-9-285/1. It’s a Hyderabad neighborhood that feels very lived-in. Inside, it’s mostly computers. Since we operate as Cad Designer - Civil/Structural, there’s a lot of focus on lines and numbers. It can get a bit boring for someone looking in from the outside, but it’s what we do. The room is usually quiet because everyone is concentrated on their screens. We have big monitors so we can see the details of the steel structures or the concrete layouts. Hyderabad-500 044 is our corner of the world. The humidity here can be tough, so the AC is always running, which makes the room feel a bit like a fridge. We have rolls of old drawings in the corner that probably should have been thrown out years ago. Sometimes we go out to the sites to see if the drawings actually match the ground, and usually, there’s some difference we have to fix. It’s practical work. We don't have a fancy lobby or a receptionist. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. It’s just about getting the structural plans right so the building stays up. No more, no less. We’ve been here for a while and the routine doesn't change much. It is just steady, technical work day in and day out. It’s just the way the engineering life goes in this part of town.
