Our office is way up on the 11th Floor of Saiga Plaza in Basheer Bagh. Hyderabad is a busy city, and from up here, you can see quite a bit of the skyline, though we’re usually too busy with wires and screens to look out the window much. Getting to work involves waiting for the elevators, which can be a bit of a pain during the morning rush when everyone is trying to get to their floor at once. We handle network stuff and communication tools, so there’s always a tangle of cables somewhere in the corner that we mean to tidy up. It’s a professional building, but our space feels a bit more lived-in. We have coffee mugs sitting on desks and piles of manuals that we’ve looked at a thousand times. Basheer Bagh is a central spot, so there’s always something happening outside. We spend a lot of time on the phone or fixing connection issues for people who need their systems running. It’s not always exciting, but it’s what we know how to do. Sometimes the air conditioning in the building gets a bit too cold, and we have to put on sweaters even when it’s boiling hot outside in the city. We just keep our heads down and work through the tasks for the day. It’s a steady routine that keeps us coming back every morning to Saiga Plaza.
