Bone Hospital

We are at Shop 1 in Saroor Nagar. It is a small space, really just a shop that we turned into a clinic for bone issues. It’s much smaller than the big city hospitals, but that makes it easier for people in the neighborhood to just walk in. We don't have a huge staff. It’s just a few of us making sure everything runs okay. The front door opens right onto the street, so you can hear the bikes and cars going past all day. Sometimes it feels a bit cramped when three or four families are waiting at once, but we make it work. We have a couple of treatment tables and some basic equipment. Most of our day is spent talking to neighbors who have back pain or hurt their knees. It’s a very local feel here. I usually know who is coming in before they even say their name. We don't use any big fancy words. We just explain what happened to the bone and how to fix it. We keep a lot of bandages and braces in the back. The lighting is a bit bright, but it helps us see what we are doing. It’s a simple life running a clinic like this. We aren't trying to be the biggest place in the world. We just want to be the place where people around Saroor Nagar can come when they hurt themselves. It's just us here, doing the work every single day.
