Bharat Honey Store

If you go down to Santosh Nagar, right across from the Indian Gas Agencies, you’ll find us at 15 Sadan. That’s where Bharat Honey Store is. It’s a pretty simple shop. We don’t have bright neon signs or anything like that. We just have our jars and a counter where we talk to customers. My family has been doing this for a while. We know the local area well, and the neighbors know us. We spend a lot of our time sourcing the best honey we can find from the nearby areas. It’s not always easy because the quality changes with the seasons. We don't try to pretend we're some huge national brand. We’re just a local store in Sadan. Sometimes the shop gets a bit cramped when a few people come in at once, but we make it work. We keep the place clean and focus on what we’re selling. We don't have a big staff, so if you come in, you’re probably talking to one of the owners directly. We like it that way because we can explain exactly where the honey came from. It’s a quiet business for the most part, except for when the gas agency across the street is busy with deliveries. We just keep our doors open and wait for the regulars to stop by for their usual supply. It’s a good way to spend the day, just talking to people and selling something honest.
