Venkata Laxmi Enterprises

Balanagar is a crowded spot, and our place at Plot No 21 in the CIE Gandhinagar area is right in the middle of it. Venkata Laxmi Enterprises has been operating from this same building for quite a while. The walls could use a fresh coat of paint, but the structure is solid. We have a small yard in the front where the delivery trucks back in. It’s a tight squeeze sometimes, especially when the neighbors are busy too. Inside, it’s mostly shelves and storage. We don't have a receptionist or a lobby. You just walk through the main door and you'll probably find one of us sorting through inventory or checking a list. The floor is mostly grey stone, and it stays cool even when it's bright outside. We usually have the radio playing in the background while we work. It helps the day go by a bit faster. Most of the people working here have been with us since we opened. We know each other’s families and what everyone likes for lunch. We don’t do much fancy talking. If a customer comes by, we show them what we have on the racks and tell them the price. It’s straightforward work. We focus on keeping the orders organized and making sure the counts are right. It gets dusty because of the road outside, but we sweep it out every morning before we start our shift.
