Shiva Shakti Engg Inds is located at C 6 in the CIE area of Balanagar. This place is usually humming with the sound of work from early in the morning until we close up. Being in an industrial estate means there is always something going on nearby. We have been operating from this unit for quite some time. It is not a very big space, but we manage to fit all our equipment in and leave enough room for us to move around while we work. Balanagar is a busy area, and finding a parking spot near C 6 can be a bit of a headache sometimes, especially when the big lorries are delivering materials to the neighbors. We spend most of our time on the floor, making sure the parts are being handled correctly. The air is always a bit heavy with the smell of metal and coolant, which is something you get used to after a few days. We have a small crew here, and most of us have been working together for years, so we do not really need to talk much to know what needs doing. When the sun gets high, the roof makes it pretty warm inside, so we keep the fans going as much as we can. It is a straightforward business. We do the engineering work that is asked of us and try to keep things moving along without too much fuss. Most of our neighbors are doing similar things.
