B. D. Light World

You can find us right on R. P. Road in Secunderabad, tucked in at number 4-2-29/A. We are easy to spot because we’re right beside the Peddamma Temple. It’s a very busy part of town, especially on days when people are coming to the temple, so there’s always something happening outside our door. Inside, we have lights of all kinds hanging everywhere. It’s a bit of a maze sometimes with all the different lamps and bulbs we keep in stock. We’ve been here for a good while, helping folks from the neighborhood find the right lighting for their houses or shops. It gets pretty bright in here when we have everything turned on to show people how they work. R. P. Road is always loud with traffic and people walking by, but we’ve gotten used to it. Sometimes we just sit on the stools near the counter and chat with the regulars who come in. We aren't a big chain store, just a local spot where we know most of the people who walk through the door. We spend a lot of time dusting off the fixtures because they get dusty fast being so close to the main road. We keep the shop open until late evening because that’s when most people have time to look at lights. It’s a simple life running a shop near the temple, and we like the location. R. P. Road has everything you need within walking distance, so we don't have to go far for lunch or supplies. We have some old wooden chairs for customers to sit on while they wait for us to pack their orders. The lighting business is mostly about showing people how things look when they are lit up, so we spend a lot of time flicking switches. We don't have a website or anything like that, just the shop and our reputation around Secunderabad. We’ve been at 4-2-29/A for so long that it feels like we are part of the building itself.
