Asst.Engineer(Maintance)

My role as an assistant engineer in maintenance at Sri Chakra Cements Ltd keeps me on my feet. I’m based out of the office at 6-3-668/10/66 in Durganagar Colony. It’s right in the middle of Punjagutta, so there’s always traffic and people around. Working in the cement industry means you get used to the grit and the constant movement of the factory. I handle the daily upkeep of the machinery. If something stops working, I’m usually the one who gets the call. It doesn't matter if it's early morning or late evening. The colony where the office is located is a pretty familiar spot for most people in this part of Hyderabad. I’ve spent a lot of time here, and I know the layout of the plant like the back of my hand. I don’t use a lot of fancy words for what I do. I just fix things. Whether it’s a conveyor belt or a heavy-duty motor, the goal is always the same. Keep it running. My desk in Durganagar Colony is mostly for filing reports that the management needs for their records. The rest of the time, I’m carrying my bag of tools and walking through the sections. It’s a practical job for someone who likes to see how things work from the inside. People think maintenance is easy until something actually breaks. Then everyone is looking at you to get it back up and running. I like knowing the job is done right.
