Ark Structural Designers

Our office is on the first floor in Hill Colony, Mehdipatnam. The address is 12-2-330/2/A. Hyderabad is a busy city, and Mehdipatnam is right in the middle of it. You can hear the traffic from the main road all day long. As Ark Structural Designers, we focus on structural design, so there are lots of calculators and technical manuals around. It’s a lot of math and careful checking. We sit at these old wooden desks that have seen better days. The lighting isn't the best, but we make it work. Hill Colony is a decent spot, though finding a place to park a bike can be a struggle some mornings. We aren't a big company with a hundred employees. It’s just a few of us who understand how buildings are put together. We spend our days looking at load-bearing walls and foundation details. It isn't glamorous work at all. There’s a lot of paper everywhere, and the bins are always full of crumpled-up drafts. We drink a lot of chai to keep going. Sometimes the heat in Hyderabad makes us all a bit sluggish, but the deadlines keep us moving. We don't have any marketing people or a sales team. We just do the structural drawings and hope the engineers on site follow them correctly. It's a straightforward way to make a living and we've been at it for some years now. It gets hot and dusty but the work is interesting enough.
