Our place is in Minerva House on S.D. Road, which is right in the middle of all the action in Secunderabad. We are up in unit 507. The elevator is one of those old ones that shakes a little bit, so some of us just take the stairs instead. S.D. Road is always packed with cars and people, so getting to work in the morning is usually a struggle with the traffic. The office itself is quite plain with white walls and some metal filing cabinets that have seen better days. We deal with nutrients and various supplements, so there is often a faint powdery smell in the air when we are checking the samples. It is not a very big space, but we have managed to fit everyone in. There is a small window that gives us a view of the tops of the trees and the heavy traffic below. We spend most of our time staring at spreadsheets or talking to distributors on the phone. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit around talking until the backup generator kicks in. We have a little fridge in the corner for our lunches, but it makes a weird humming noise that everyone has learned to ignore. It is a straightforward office and we don't bother with much decoration or anything that isn't strictly necessary for the job we are doing.
