About Amba Bhavani Toolcrafts – Engineering in Hyderabad
Our shop is at 10-2-121 in Netaji Colony, right beside the lane that goes to the Ganesh Temple. Fathenagar is a busy area, especially with the temple nearby. We do toolcrafting here, which means there’s a lot of grinding and sharpening going on throughout the day. You can usually hear the sound of the tools from the street. The shop is small and packed with all sorts of equipment and metal bits. We spend most of our time at the workbench, squinting at small parts and making sure they’re shaped right. It’s a bit messy with all the metal filings around, but we sweep up at the end of every day. Being near the temple means we hear the bells and the prayers, which is a nice backdrop to the work. We’ve been in this spot for years and the locals all know where we are. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just open the shutters in the morning and wait for customers to come in. Sometimes things get a bit slow, but then we just catch up on maintenance or organize the tool racks. It’s a simple business and we like it that way. Most of the guys here live just a few streets away, so it’s a short walk to work. We just do our best with the tools we have and try to get the jobs done on time. It is a good little spot for a workshop.
