Ala Engineering Works

Ala Engineering Works is located on the first floor near Urdu Ghar in Moghalpura. It is a bit of a climb with heavy parts, but we manage. Our shop is full of metal scraps, welding machines, and the smell of cut iron. We do all sorts of repair jobs and small fabrication work for people in the neighborhood. Usually, there is a lot of sparks flying around and the sound of hammers hitting metal. It is not a place where you want to wear nice clothes. We have been working here for quite some time now. Some days are very slow and we just sit and sharpen our tools. Other days, everyone wants their gate or grill fixed at the exact same time. We don't have a big team, just a couple of us who know how to handle the torch. It is honest work that leaves your hands dirty at the end of the shift. We try to be fair with the prices because we know everyone around here. The power cuts can be a problem sometimes, especially when we are in the middle of a weld. We just wait for the lights to come back and start again. It’s a noisy life in Moghalpura but it’s ours. We don’t do anything fancy, just solid metal work that stays put once it is finished. Most of our tools have been with us for years.
