Down in Kaciguda, inside the Sagarmansion Apartments at G5 3 3 70, you will find our office. It’s a bit of a maze getting through Qudiguda sometimes, especially with the Hyderabad traffic being what it is. We’ve set ourselves up here because it’s a central spot for us. It isn’t a huge factory or anything, mostly we handle the planning and the paperwork side of the engineering projects from this ground floor space. There are always stacks of files and rolls of drawings sitting around. Sometimes the power goes out and we just sit and talk until it comes back on. That’s just part of working in this neighborhood. We’ve been here long enough that the watchman knows us by name and we know where to get the best snacks in the afternoon. People think engineering is all about big heavy iron, but a lot of it is just sitting at a desk and making sure the numbers add up. We don’t have a shiny lobby or a person to answer the phones in a fancy way. Usually, whoever is closest to the desk just picks it up. It’s a bit messy and we probably should organize the shelves better, but we know where everything is. We work with various clients across Andhra Pradesh and keep things moving as best as we can without making a big fuss about it. We have been A R Engineering Pvt Ltd for a long time now.
