Telemarketing

The work for this Telemarketing setup happens over at the Meghana Deluxe Hostel on Dharam Karam Road in Ameerpet. Pummy Saboo is the one in charge here. Ameerpet is famous for all the coaching centers and students, so there are people everywhere at all hours of the day. Working out of a hostel is a bit different than a regular office. We have a small corner where we keep our phones and notebooks. It’s always busy with students coming and going, and the sounds of the city are constant outside the windows. We spend most of our time on the phone, talking to people and taking notes. The room is a bit small and it gets quite warm when the afternoon sun hits the side of the building. We have to share the space with the daily rhythms of the hostel, like when they serve meals or when everyone is heading out for classes. Dharam Karam Road is always packed with bikes and street food vendors. Sometimes we grab a quick snack from the cart downstairs when we have a break. It isn't a fancy corporate environment with cubicles and carpets. It’s just us sitting in a room, making calls and trying to keep everything straight. Pummy manages the schedule and makes sure we stay on top of the list for the day. It’s a lively place to be and there is never a dull moment.
