Working at Htmt in Mothi Market is always interesting because of the location. We are right near Esamiah Bazaar in Hyderabad, so there is constantly something happening outside. The noise from the market filters in all day long, from the vegetable sellers to the rickshaw horns. Our office at H.No: 3-1-138 is an old building with high ceilings and thick walls that keep the heat out a little bit. We do a lot of data work and management stuff here. It’s not flashy at all. The floor is a bit uneven in places and the paint is peeling near the windows, but it’s home for us. We’ve got a bunch of desks crammed into the main room. Most of the staff live nearby, so we walk or bike to work. Dealing with the crowd in the morning can be a bit of a struggle, but you get used to it after a week. We handle a lot of calls and paperwork for different businesses. Sometimes it feels like the paper never ends. We take our breaks at the local tea stalls where the chai is strong and cheap. It’s a practical setup. We don't spend money on fancy decorations because we’d rather just get the tasks finished and go home. People know where to find us if they need help with their back-office tasks. It’s just how things are done in this part of town and we like the routine.
