The Siraj Travel Service

You can find us at 249/B, G T Road North, inside the building called Jai Ram Villa. Being on G T Road means there is never a quiet moment. There are always horns honking and buses passing by, but inside Jai Ram Villa, it’s a bit calmer. The Siraj Travel Service is a small operation that we’ve been running for some time now. We don’t have a massive office or a lot of staff. It’s just a desk, some old chairs, and a computer that we’ve used for years. People come to us from all over this part of Howrah because the location is easy to find. We spend most of our time looking at maps and checking the latest train timings. It’s mostly just paperwork and making phone calls to different agencies. We don’t have a receptionist, so if you come by and the shutter is up, you’ll just see us working at the back. Sometimes we have to run out for errands, so the office might be closed for a bit during the day. We don’t use any marketing language or try to talk people into expensive trips. Most folks just want a simple ticket or a decent hotel that doesn't cost a fortune. We try to find those options. Living and working on the main G T Road is busy, but we’ve gotten used to the pace of it over the years.
