Siddheswari Online Travel Agency is located in Chakraberia, on Mahendra Bhatta Road. Even though the name says online, we have this physical shop where people can come in and sit down to talk. The road outside can get quite dusty and narrow, which makes parking a bit of a problem, but it’s where we have always been. Inside, it’s mostly just us and a desktop computer that we use to check for tickets and hotel rooms. We started this because we were good at navigating the booking websites and realized our neighbors needed help with that. It is a quiet way to earn a living in Howrah. We don’t have a big corporate team or anything like that. If the internet connection is working well, we get things done quickly. When it’s slow, we just have a cup of tea and wait for the pages to load. We aren't trying to be the biggest agency in West Bengal. We just want to make sure the people in Chakraberia get their travel plans sorted without a headache. Often, customers come in just to chat about their previous trips or to show us photos. We keep a fan running during the hot afternoons to stay cool while we work. It’s a very simple operation here on Mahendra Bhatta Road.
