Shubhadeep Sana

Our place is on the ground floor on Ramrajatala Station Road. It is really close to the Santragachi station, so there is always a crowd outside. You can hear the trains passing by if you listen closely. The address is 711104, right in the heart of the action. Shubhadeep Sana is the name on the door. It’s a modest space, nothing too special to look at from the street. We have a few old fans that hum all day long to keep the air moving. Life here is mostly about the people who walk in off the street. Since we are near the station, we get all sorts of people stopping by. Some are in a big hurry to catch a train, while others have some time to kill and want to chat for a bit. We don't have any corporate slogans or polished desks. It is just a regular room with the things we need to do our work every day. Sometimes the rain comes down hard and people stand under our awning to stay dry. We don’t mind it at all. It feels good to be part of the local scene here in Santragachi. We keep the place open for long hours most days of the week. There is always something to clean or a bit of ledger work to finish before we leave. It’s just a small local business trying to get through the day like everyone else in Howrah.
