Mining & Mechanical Tools Co. is right here on Deshpran Sasmal Road. If you are coming from the Kadamtalla Power House side, we are easy to find. We are just beside the State Bank, so there is usually people moving around and cars parked everywhere. Our shop has been around for some time now and it looks like a typical workshop area with lots of mechanical bits and pieces. There are tools stacked on the shelves and the floor usually has some grease on it. We spend most of our mornings opening up and getting things ready for whoever walks in. It is quite noisy sometimes because of the traffic on 47/1 but we are used to it by now. The tea stall nearby is where we usually get our afternoon break. It is just a regular place where we work with metal and tools all day long. Sometimes it gets crowded inside when a few people come at once but we manage. We don’t have any fancy office or air conditioning here. It is just a practical spot for mechanical work and selling tools. The walls have some old calendars and the desks are a bit cluttered with papers and small parts. Most people around here know where we are because of the State Bank landmark. We just keep our heads down and do the work that needs to be done every day. It’s a simple life at 47/1. I usually lock up around seven in the evening and head home.
