Our office is tucked away in Hind Apartment, specifically in Room 541. It is number 545 on the main road. Being right opposite the stores and on GT Road means there is never a quiet moment. You can hear the horns honking and the buses rumbling past all day long. The apartment itself is older, and the elevator can be a bit moody sometimes, so we often just take the stairs. Inside the room, it is mostly desks, computers, and stacks of paper that seem to grow on their own. We do a lot of coordinating here, connecting different things and making sure everything is moving. It is a lot of phone calls and typing. Sometimes the internet acts up, and we have to wait for it to come back, which gives us a chance to stretch our legs. There is a small window that looks out over the road, but we usually keep the curtains half-closed to keep the glare off the screens. We are just a few people trying to keep everything moving. We don't have a receptionist or any of that stuff. If the phone rings, whoever is closest picks it up. It is a practical space for the work we do. Market Links has been operating out of this room for a good while, and we have gotten used to the quirks of the building and the constant energy of the traffic outside.
