Ghosh Tours & Travels

Our place is located at 45/6/2, Chowdhury Para Lane. It’s a little bit hidden in the lane, but if you find Kedar Nath School, you will see us right nearby. Chowdhury Para Lane is a typical residential street where children play and neighbors talk over their balconies. Ghosh Tours & Travels is run from a small room that used to be part of our family house. It’s a bit of a tight squeeze if more than two people visit at the same time, but we make it work. We spend our time checking bus schedules and train seats on a basic laptop. We don't really do any marketing or have a big sign. People just know we are here. If a family wants to go to the coast for a few days, they come and sit with us to figure out the cost. We aren't the type of travel agents who wear suits; we are just locals who understand how to use the booking systems. The lane is usually quiet compared to the main roads of Howrah, which is nice. Sometimes when the school bell rings next door, we realize how late it’s gotten. We often stay late into the evening to finish up paperwork when the neighborhood has quieted down. It’s a simple life running this travel desk, and we just try to be helpful to anyone who walks through the door.
