Standard Software Pvt Ltd

We are Standard Software Pvt Ltd, a small software company based in Rishra, out here in the Hooghly district. Our office is at 164/A in S.K. Nagar. It is a bit far from the main IT hubs in Kolkata, but we like it this way. It is quieter and less stressful for the team. We have a few rooms filled with computers and cables everywhere. It is not the cleanest looking place, as there are always empty coffee cups and old keyboards lying around the desks. We spend our days coding and trying to fix bugs in the programs we build. Most of us have known each other for a long time. We don't have a HR department or fancy breakout rooms with beanbags and games. We just have our desks and some decent internet connection. Sometimes the power fluctuates and we have to wait for the backup to kick in, which can be annoying when you are in the middle of a difficult problem. We take on various software projects, mostly for local clients who need something specific done for their business. We don't use a lot of technical jargon when we talk to people. We just explain what the software does and how it works in plain English. It is a straightforward approach. We stay at this address because the rent is fair and it is close to the train station. We are just regular people writing code and trying to make software that actually works for the people who use it.
