Sikder Decorators & Caterers

You can find us at 230 on G T Road in Sheoraphuli. It’s a noisy part of town because of all the trucks and buses going past all day long. Sikder Decorators & Caterers is a mix of two things. One side of the room is filled with rolls of cloth, bamboo poles, and lights for the pandals. The other side is where we handle the catering stuff. It’s always a bit cluttered here. We might be sorting out decorations for a festival in the morning and then moving on to sorting lentils for a big lunch in the afternoon. It's a lot of physical labor. Our clothes usually have a bit of dust or paint on them from the decorating side of the business. Sheoraphuli is a busy place and being on the main road means we don’t get much peace. We have a few old wooden benches where we sit and drink tea when there's a break. We don't really do anything fancy with our branding. The sign outside is a bit faded from the sun, but people know who we are. We've been at this spot for quite a while now. Most of our work comes from families nearby who’ve used us before. We just try to keep our equipment in good shape and make sure we don't mix up the orders. It's a long day, every day, but we get things done.
