Saroda Textile

Saroda Textile is located at 25 G.T. Road in Baidyabati. If you know this road, you know it is always moving. We have been in the textile business for quite a few years now. The shop is filled with rolls of fabric and various materials we have collected or manufactured. It’s a bit dusty sometimes because of all the threads and lint, but that is part of the job. We see a lot of different people coming through the doors, from locals looking for a bit of cloth to people buying for their own small businesses. We don't have a fancy showroom. It is more of a warehouse feel where you can actually see what is available. Working on G.T. Road means we are right in the middle of everything. We started small and just kept at it until we had a steady flow of work. Some days we are busy cutting fabric all day, and other days we are just organizing the inventory. The machines make a lot of noise when they are running, so it is rarely quiet here. We handle the orders as they come in and try to get them out the door without too much delay. It is hard work but it is honest. We know the textures and the weights of the fabrics just by touching them now. That comes with doing this every single day for years. It is a simple business that keeps us on our feet.
