Riya Udyog

Riya Udyog is based out of Adarsh Nagar in the Durga Colony area, right near P.O. Bara Bahera in Konnagar. It’s a bit of a trek to get here if you aren’t from around Hooghly, but it’s a good spot for what we do. The surroundings are mostly quiet, except for when the local workshops are running their machinery. We have a modest space where we handle our manufacturing work. It gets quite hot in the summers, so we keep the big fans running all day long. Our team is mostly made up of people from the local area who walk or cycle to work every morning. We don’t have a website or anything like that; we just rely on the work we do to speak for itself. The floors are concrete and usually have a bit of dust on them, which is normal for a place like ours. We keep our tools and materials organized the best we can, though things can get messy when we are in the middle of a big job. There’s a small temple nearby, and you can hear the bells ringing in the morning while we’re setting up for the day. It’s a simple life here in Konnagar. We focus on our daily production and making sure the orders are ready on time. It’s not a corporate environment at all, just a group of people working hard in Durga Colony.
