Our workplace is at 7/1 Kalitala 1st Lane in Rishra, out in the Hooghly district. It is a bit of a trek from the center of Kolkata, but we prefer the slower pace out here. The office is located in a quiet lane, and you might miss it if you aren't looking closely at the numbers. We have been here for a long time, and the locals all know us. It is a very simple setup for Pricewaterhouse Coopers. We do not have any high-tech gadgets or modern art on the walls. It is just a place with desks, chairs, and a lot of filing cabinets. Most of us are from Rishra or the nearby towns, so there is a real sense of community in the office. We spend our days working through piles of documents and making sure everything is in order. It is not glamorous work, but it is important and we take it seriously. We often bring in food from home and share it during lunch, which makes the office feel more like a family than a business. There is no corporate ladder here, just people helping each other get the job done. We are not interested in sounding like a big company; we are just glad to have a steady place to work in our own neighborhood. It is a quiet, honest life, and we are quite content with how things are.
