Partha Ghosh

My name is Partha Ghosh and I run my small business here in Rudrapanda, which is part of Pandua. It is a quiet area most of the time, except when there is a local festival. I have been working here for many years, mostly dealing with local goods that people in the village need. The building isn't very big, just a simple structure with a heavy door that I open every morning. I don't use any computers for my work, just my ledger and a pen. I usually sit on a wooden stool near the entrance where I can see everyone passing by on the road. People stop by to ask about prices or just to say hello. There are always sacks of things piled up in the corner, and the smell of the earth is quite strong when it rains. I get my stock from the bigger markets nearby and bring it here on a small cart or a van. It’s a bit of a struggle sometimes when the transport is slow, but that is part of the job. I don't have a big team of workers, just me and a young lad who helps with the lifting. Life in Pandua moves at its own pace and my shop is just a small part of that. I try to keep enough stock so people don't have to go all the way to the city for small things. It's honest work and it keeps me busy.
