Operations Research Guild India Pvt Ltd is based out of Konnagar, in the Hooghly district. If you’re looking for us, we’re on Bakultala Lane, specifically at 42 6, near the post office. It’s a bit of a walk from the main road, but it’s a nice enough area with plenty of trees and old houses. The office itself is part of the Bakultala neighborhood, which is usually quite peaceful compared to the bustle of Kolkata. We do a lot of our work on computers, focusing on research projects and organizing various bits of information. It’s a small operation here in West Bengal. The space is a bit cramped sometimes when we have everyone in at once, but we make it work. We have a lot of paperwork piled up on the shelves, and there is always a pot of tea being made somewhere. We’ve been at this address for a while, and the locals know us as the people who are always busy with their papers and laptops. Being near the Konnagar post office makes it easy for us to handle any mail or official documents that need to go out. We don’t have a big corporate lobby or anything like that. It’s just a regular house-turned-office where we spend our mornings and afternoons. Most of us grew up around this area, so working in Hooghly feels right for us.
