Our place is at 115 R.P.M. Road in Uttrapara. It's a well-known street in this part of Hooghly. We go by Mcnally Bharat Engineering Company Ltd here. The building isn't anything special to look at, but it’s where we do all our engineering planning. The street outside can be quite lively, especially during the market hours. Inside, it’s mostly just the sound of keyboards and people talking over drawings. We’ve got a small team, and we’ve all worked together for quite some time now. It’s more like a family than a bunch of coworkers. We don't use a lot of fancy words to describe what we do. We just do engineering. We handle the technical details and make sure the projects we're on stay on track. The office has that smell of old paper and ink that you only find in places that have been around for years. Sometimes the power goes out and we have to wait for the generator to kick in, but that’s just part of working in Uttrapara. We like it here because it’s a bit away from the main chaos of the city but still connected enough. We keep things simple and practical. No one wears a tie unless they absolutely have to for a meeting. We just focus on the job and making sure we get the numbers right for whatever project is on the desk today. It’s a long day, but it’s good work for everyone involved.
