We’re located over in Narayanpur, which is near Bandel in the Hooghly district. It’s a nice enough area, though it can feel a bit remote compared to the big cities like Kolkata. We operate as a branch of Mcnally Bharat Engineering. Our office is a straightforward place, nothing too special to look at from the outside. Inside, it’s mostly just us working on engineering plans and keeping track of various project requirements. We have a small team here, so everyone ends up doing a bit of everything during the day. It’s not the kind of place with a dedicated receptionist or a waiting room; usually, whoever is closest to the door helps out if someone stops by. We’re more interested in the technical side of the business than the presentation side. The office can get a bit warm in the summer, but we have our fans going and we just get on with it. We handle a lot of the engineering details that keep the larger company moving forward. It’s steady, honest work. We don't have a big mission statement on the wall or anything like that; we just have a calendar with deadlines circled in red ink. We’re just local people doing our bit in the engineering field, making sure the work gets done right for the people who need it. We finish up our tasks, lock up the office, and head home like everyone else in Bandel. It’s a simple, hardworking life.
