Indbro Research Farm

Our place, Indbro Research Farm, is right on N. S. Avenue in Serampore. Number 177 to be exact. It’s not your typical farm since we focus heavily on the research side of things. We spend a lot of time looking at how to make things better in the poultry or agriculture world. Serampore is a decent place to be based, even if the traffic on the avenue gets a bit much during the rush hours. The building itself is older, but it has a lot of character and we have made it our own over the years. Inside, you will see a lot of notes and data being tracked. It isn't always clean and tidy because we are actually doing work here. We aren't trying to be some big city firm. Most of us grew up around here or nearby, so we have a connection to the land and the people. We deal with various hatcheries and farmers who need advice or specific types of stock. Sometimes experiments take a long time to show results, and you just have to be patient. That is one thing this job has taught us. We usually have a lot of coffee going to keep us moving. It is a quiet kind of work most days, unless we have a big project wrapping up. We like being part of the Serampore community. People know where to find us if they have questions. It is a slow process, doing research, and there are no shortcuts.
