Ge Money

Our Ge Money setup is located in Hooghly, right near the D I Office on Vivekananda Road. We are actually sharing space with Sh Shyamal Kr Ghosh, so it’s a bit of a combined arrangement. It’s not a huge place, just a few rooms where we keep all the files and the computer. Being near the D I Office makes it easy for people to find us, though the road can get quite muddy when it rains. We have been here in the 712103 area for a good amount of time. The office feels lived-in. There are calendars on the wall and stacks of ledgers on the shelves. We don't have fancy lights or a big glass front. It’s a very local feel. Most of our day is spent talking to people from the district who need help with their financial documents. We try to be quick but sometimes the paperwork just takes time. The tea stall nearby is where we spend our breaks. It’s a simple existence, really. We aren't trying to change the world, just trying to make sure the accounts are balanced and people get their questions answered. If you're coming from the main part of town, just look for the Vivekananda Road signs. We’ll be there, likely buried under some folders or talking to a neighbor about the weather. It is just a normal place with normal people.
