About Bengal Brick Field – Building & Construction Material in Hooghly
Bengal Brick Field is situated in Village Adisaptagram, right by the Bandel post office in the Mogra taluka. This part of Hooghly has always been known for its brick fields because of the soil we have here. We spend our days out in the fields managing the production. It’s a large area of land where we dig the clay and set the bricks out to dry. The work follows the seasons. When the monsoon hits, we have to stop most of the operations and wait for the ground to dry out again. It can be a long wait. Most of our workers live nearby and we’ve known their families for years. We aren't a corporate outfit with suits and ties. We wear work clothes and get our hands dirty every single day. The village is quiet except for the sound of the trucks and the laborers. We don't do a lot of advertising. Most people in Bandel and Mogra just know we are here if they need bricks for a foundation or a wall. We keep an eye on the quality of the clay because that is what matters most. If the clay is bad, the brick is bad. We try to keep things simple and honest. You can find us down the lane from the village center. It’s a straight path once you get off the main road and head towards the post office area. We are always here during the dry months working the field.
