Our office is located at 7, Bhattacharya Para Lane in Bhadreswar. It’s in the Hooghly district, which is a bit of a trek from the main part of Kolkata, but we like the pace here. Asian Financial Services Pvt Ltd has its roots in this area. The building is on a narrow lane, typical of this part of the country. It’s a bit of a squeeze when cars try to pass each other outside, but it’s part of the charm. Inside, we have our desks set up for dealing with financial paperwork and helping people with their accounts. It’s not a fancy bank branch with marble floors. It’s just a practical office with plenty of folders and a few calculators. We know our neighbors and the people who walk by every day. Bhadreswar is the kind of place where people still recognize each other on the street. We take our work seriously, but we don't feel the need to dress up in suits every day unless there's a big meeting. Usually, it’s just us and the regular hum of the ceiling fans. We deal with the local community mostly. It’s steady work and it keeps us busy from morning till evening. We don't have any grand plans to move to a big skyscraper; we are quite happy right here on Bhattacharya Para Lane. It is just a normal, hardworking office in a busy little town.
