The Parnami Global School

We are located right on Rajgarh Road in Hissar. Most mornings here start with the sound of traffic and buses pulling up. The school building isn't fancy, but it does the job for us. I’ve been working here for a while now and I see the same faces every day. There is a lot of dust because of the road, so we are always cleaning the windows and sweeping the floors. The classrooms are filled with wooden benches and whiteboards that sometimes don't erase properly. We have a small playground where the grass gets a bit dry in the summer. It’s a busy place. Teachers are usually rushing from one floor to another with piles of notebooks. In the afternoons, the sun hits the front of the building quite hard. We have some fans that make a lot of noise but they keep us cool enough. Parents come by the gate to drop off lunchboxes they forgot. The staff room is small and usually smells like tea. We don’t have a big fancy office, just some desks and chairs where we sit to mark papers. It’s just a regular school where we try to get through the syllabus. Hissar gets very hot in May, so we all look forward to the holidays. Sometimes the internet goes out and we have to do things the old way with paper. It’s nothing out of the ordinary, just our daily work life here on the road.
