Gurukul Vidya Aashram

Out here in Abub Sheher, which is near Tehsil Mandi Dabwali in the Sirsa district, you will find our school. It is a very quiet area, mostly surrounded by open fields and small houses. The school is called Gurukul Vidya Aashram, and we have been here for a while. We have got a fairly simple setup compared to the schools in the big cities. The building is actually one of the larger structures you will see in this village. We have kids coming in from all over the local Tehsil area. It is a bit of a long trip for some of the children who live further out. We follow the local board rules and try to keep our classes running on a very regular basis. The classrooms are quite basic, but they certainly do the job for the lessons. We have a large open space where the children can run around and play during their time off. It gets very dusty during the dry season when the wind picks up. We do not have any high-tech systems or fancy digital equipment here. It is just the teachers, the books, and the students working together. We try our best to maintain the grounds, but it is a lot of work for a small staff. Most of our employees are local people from Sirsa or the nearby villages. We know the families and their personal situations quite well. It is a solid local school.
