Mata Harki Devi College Of Education is situated out in Village Odhan, which is in the Sirsa district of Haryana. Being in a village means things are a bit quieter here compared to the city schools. We focus on training people who want to become teachers themselves. It is a big responsibility because these students will go on to teach the next generation in various schools around the state. The campus is simple and functional. We have got the classrooms and the basic facilities you would expect in a rural college. The bus comes in every morning bringing students from the surrounding areas. You can see the fields all around us while we work. It makes for a very different atmosphere than a crowded town. We have a lot of local staff and the people in Odhan know us well. We deal with the usual paperwork and the university schedules throughout the year. It is a practical place. We do not go for anything flashy. Most of our students are hardworking and come from farming families. They are looking for a career in education. We spend our days lecturing and helping them with their teaching practice sessions. It is honest work and we have been doing it for quite some time now in this 125077 area.
