Mehta Tours And Travels is located at 6/7, Vijay Nagar in Hissar. We are right by Gulati Surgical Hospital, so the street is usually pretty busy with people coming and going. I have been sitting in this small office for a while now. Some days it is quiet and I just look out the window at the traffic passing by. Other days, three or four people come in at once asking about bus tickets or car rentals. It gets a bit cramped in here when that happens. I try to keep the chairs clean for anyone waiting. My desk is usually covered in notebooks and those little receipt slips that always seem to get lost under papers. It is not a big fancy place at all. Just a couple of fans on the ceiling and some old maps pinned on the wall. The hospital nearby means there are always folks around. Sometimes people stop in just to ask for directions while they are looking for the clinic. I don't mind. I like the neighborhood and the people. Hissar gets really hot in the summer, so the water cooler is always running. It makes a lot of noise but it works well enough. I handle the bookings myself usually. If the phone rings while I am talking to a customer, I just let it ring for a bit. You can't do everything at once. I have known the people on this block for years. We all just do our work.
