St.Joseph'S High School

St. Joseph's is located in the Kajubagh area of Karwar. Since we are a coastal town, we deal with the salt air and plenty of humidity all through the year. The school building has been standing for many years now, and you can definitely see that in the way the walls and floors look, but it remains a very sturdy structure. We have a lot of history in these halls. Many of the parents who are bringing their children here today were actually students themselves in these very same classrooms years ago. We have a decent-sized playground where you can see the kids playing football or cricket once the school hours are finished. Our daily routine is quite set and does not change much. We start the morning with a prayer and then get straight into the scheduled lessons for the day. The teachers can be a bit strict, but they genuinely care about whether the kids are actually picking up the material. We do not have many modern gadgets or fancy equipment. It is mostly just the classic combination of books, pens, and paper. Karwar is a small enough place that everyone tends to know everyone else. If a student is getting into trouble, news usually travels fast to the parents. We do not bother with brochures or trying to look like a high-end private academy. We are just a local high school doing our part in the community.
