Renuka Yellamma Residential School

Renuka Yellamma Residential School is situated over on 1st Main Road in Maruti Nagar, which is part of Ranebennur in the Haveri district. Being a residential school, this place is busy almost twenty-four hours a day. It is not just a place for classes; it is where the kids eat and sleep too. The building is quite functional, with the dorms on one side and the classrooms on the other. You can often see laundry hanging out to dry in the back areas. In the mornings, there is a lot of noise as everyone gets ready for breakfast. The kitchen staff stays busy from early morning until late at night. Ranebennur can be a bit quiet, but our corner in Maruti Nagar usually has something going on. We have a small playground area where the kids spend their evenings, and it gets pretty loud with all the shouting and running around. The furniture is basic, mostly metal beds and wooden desks that are quite old. We don't really do much in the way of advertising because word of mouth in Haveri is usually enough. Sometimes the power goes out, and we have to wait for it to come back while the kids finish their homework by whatever light we can find. It is just a practical, local school where we look after the children as best as we can without any unnecessary fuss or complicated rules.
